    I don't think he looks lamer and I don't think communists have worse aesthetic than anarchists and I don't think it would matter even if that were the case ^^

        To be fair when they say "anarchists" they mean "anyone left of liberalism". Targeting the anarchist boogeyman hasn't stopped them arresting PSL and DSA organisers who are decidedly not anarchists.

        It's a term the general public doesn't understand which allows them to mislead the population on what they're actually doing -- widescale leftist repression.

            It absolutely does matter. Many ""communists"" are not taking seriously the "arrest anarchists" rhetoric because they foolishly think it does not apply to them and they maintain consistent to their anti-anarchist infighting. Pretending to target only one section of the left while actually clearly repressing the whole left is a conscious strategy choice as is the choice to not say they're arresting socialists because the Bernie supporters call themselves socialists. They're dividing up the effectiveness of the left through effective manipulation of long standing disunity. These details matter.
