Is it her choice, or is it "her choice because she loves you and wants you to feel secure"? This is coming from a Black person btw

lol I don't think you should have been so downvoted for this, this is the correct take even if it turned out not to be relevant in this specific case....

I'm not surprised I got downvoted. Very few people here are actually Black, so they probably think it's ok to use Black people as pawns in their "my family is racist, I want to change then" raindeer games

LOL i've noticed. Yesterday i got into a big argument with someone who eventually told me that simply improving material conditions would make white supremacists cease to be a problem.

It's so bizzare too bc there's a ton of black leftists, marxists even. You can easily find and read their work too! Also like... you shouldn't solely be reading old theory anyway?? How tf are you gonna do a revolution when you aren't even aware of current issues facing your oppressed comrades

Look, if a black person doesn't want to be the perpetually harassed ambassador of all black people in dealing with racist in-laws and neither does her husband, then fuck it, they can walk away if they want

If they have the patience to stay and educate and keep those ties, fine

There's no ideal action here, and every interpersonal action doesn't need to be "praxis"
