    lowkey, being trans has made me see a lot of similarities between women and men and how we all basically have the same bodies, sexual dimorphism is barely a thing for a lot of people and most people rely on cues to gender individuals.

      like most social animals, our social tendencies have come to define our current existence more acutely than whatever evolutionary strategy got us to the point where we were able to develop those aforementioned tendencies

      robust instincts from birth, breeding seasons, sexual dimorphism, these things have all regressed in favor of our species being a bunch of pretty similar hat racks with brains perched on top

      Given that during early stages of fetal development both sexes are present in everyone, too different dimorphism would not be advantageous for evolutionary survival.

      Thats why for example the body “reuses” the material of a man’s tongue for his “head”.
