Learning to do your own brake work is super easy and saves you soooo much money! Disc brakes are so easy, you'll wonder why you ever paid a mechanic to do it.

Also if you need parts try either ebay or going to a junk yard. Had to replace a rear axle rod once for my parents. A shop cost them like 240 to look at it and get the problem wrong. Then when they actually looked at it and said it would be 1500 to fix. Decided to do it ourselves. AutoZone sold the parts for 500 so found it on ebay. Overall it cost like 200. Tip when working on spider gears put the car in 1, wish I knew this earlier.

If you have a halfway decent car, it’s worth spending a little bit more for halfway decent oil. It will really help the longevity of the vehicle.
