Rogan will literally say that in response to anything, that’s his whole MO, lol.

All you've gotta do to placate a Roganite is say "damn, that's crazy" on loop while paying attention to things that actually matter with the ear that's not canted toward them.

It's good to occasionally hear first hand the propaganda we're fighting. Also more effective to call out bullshit as it's being spread than just letting it propagate later when there's no push back.

Not that I always do this but I had enough energy today.

Totally agree, when I’m bored in the car and don’t feel like an audiobook or music, I’ll tune in to right wing talk radio. It’s usually just lies and fearmongering but sometimes they’ll make something close to a comprehensible argument. Its good to understand the thought process leading to their reactionary views.

I stopped listening to Some More News when Cody started parroting state department anti-China bullshit but I guess it's still a million miles better than Rogan

I used to live in this neighborhood and covid got me taking more aimless walks around.

that's when I realized some guy maybe 15 houses down owns a car that is one of those ones where every inch of the back bumper, rear end, and rear window has like specifically INFO WARS branded merch on it or like adjacent crap like gadsen flags and gun silhouettes.

the silver lining was that I least I knew what direction it was gonna come from when he received his activation codes.

I moved away this year lol.

I've never seen an infowarrior chariot in real life and I'm a little surprised now that I think about it, considering where I live

lol, theyre out there but I've only seen a few IRL.

also, the subdivision was all like 1950s built min-trad homes. like the old school, first generation FHA homes for working class families. basically just boxes, that could have a front/back porch or a finished attic with stairs. very versatile small design with a 2br1ba by minimum default on a lot big enough for ADUs or big sheds, whatever. over time some homes gained detached garages or carports and all manner of additions, that could be easily incorporated into the home's basic architectural grammar. though, most did not have any garage or addition.

the INFOWARS mobile house had the most unnatural addition on one of its sides, like a weird room one entered from the front next to the front door. not a full sized room, more skinny like a hall. it didn't make any sense and looked like some custom job somebody with no brain slapped together.

I figure it was either full of family body parts or 5 gallon buckets of salt packed survival slop or some combo of both.

I remember the one time I was in a gas station on the other side of town buying a pack of smokes and the guy had Info Wars on and yeah, THE DOCUMENTS!

You just explained exactly why I never get in an Uber without headphones. Used them for dozens of trips before the pricing got worse than taxis, and I only ever had one actually worthwhile chat with a driver. And I never saw her again.

I've fared pretty well with Uber drivers (2 out of 5 experiences positive, rest neutral). Local taxis were all great though.

Even in 2019 I still occasionally listened to Rogan, just because he had the clout to get interesting guests on (Bernie, for one)

I still think it's kind of crazy how fast his brain got deep fried over the course of only a few months in 2020. That year saw him being launched into the multi-hundred-millionare strata from the Spotify deal, while he simultaneously surround himself in a safety blanket of weird right wing influencers and rich dudes during pandemic lockdowns.
