Legitimacy. Trump is a chance for Democrats to eat a conservative base. I've been called reactionary for semi-supporting Labour's move to the right in the UK for the same reasons...and I have been and I am butttt...part of me also believes it might leave a vacuum that socialist and green parties can fill. If we have a weak left, a strong center and a weak right then I'll call that progress....somewhat reluctantly.

I know I'm probably wrong for many reasons and I'd get slaughtered on here for showing even some optimism in these cases but I literally have no control over these outcomes anyway.

Somebody told me to read Lenin on opportunism but my adhd decides what can and can't hold my attention so I haven't managed it yet. I'm very careful with putting my views in a place where it becomes ammunition for libs and if one put this to me Id telll them to fuck off.
