I get texts from people claiming to be uber/lyft drivers everyday telling me me to vote yes or it will destroy their livelihoods. Like holy shit, this is the biggest astroturf campaign I've seen in a while. Worried it'll probably pass because most people won't look into it.
Luckily my parents voted no because my dad always votes no on every single proposition thinking voting no is always the less taxes option.
Iirc there's a prop on the ballot to overturn Prop 13 (the infamous no increase on property taxes while you own your home) so voting no across the board is a winning strategy if that's your goal
Of course, pay no mind to the fact that people who own property vote in disproportionately large numbers.
