HI hello good evening ! I am Neimi a Belgian transwoman joining you all from bluesky during the ongoing events.

I am 29, living alone i love TTRPGS and books, and Video games and not letting the bad thoughts in my brain.

Also i waste spend a lot of time watching video essays on youtube/nebula and rewatching the longer one (Hbomberguy, Philosophytube, FD Signifier, and pretty much all the youtubers that touch on antifascism and the things we're supposed to fight against.

My medias of choices are Worlds beyond numbers (podcast), Gravity Falls (cartoon), All movies/shows with Tessa Thompson and/or Kristen Ritter, I am one of those queers that are fan of Chappell Roan (but still think she should get her privacy). I hate fascists, I hate the pissbaby southafrican who made an appearance in iron man 2. My main hobbies include making soup and eating soup.

Let me know if you have any questions, requests, need for more details etc....

HOLY SHIT HOW DID NOBODY TAG ME??? I am the most Fire Emblem poster of Fire Emblem posters here on hexbear.net

I just made a banger post linking to a twitter account I found that was making sure the world knew the one truth about the Radiant Guy https://hexbear.net/post/4097832?scrollToComments=false

I've also made posts about a couple of romhacks, and I've even made a Fire Emblem: SoV post for the trans mega.

Hi :) Difficult question, Sacred Stones has my heart for being the game i played the most and the earliest, So Does FE7 (I actually almost died playign it while going down a stairway and because i was hunched over my came boy i slid painlessly, litterally saving my life.

        I loved awakening,

the Switch games have been a harder sell however, Too much non combat things to do and think of.

Yeah, I get that for the switch games, stuff like the monastery isn't everyone's cup of tea (it also does get a bit tedious).

I have yet to play Awakening or Sacred Stones, but I did beat FE7. Quite the event, FE7 literally saving your life.

Fe7's writing is unparalleled in my opinion, there are so many recuitable characters with their own shit going on.

I just finished playing a very broken fe7 run. I said no to variety and had a team of paladins and flyers, canas, Priscilla and mandatory lord. It was easy af, if you wanna make the game super unfair in your advantage try it out sometimes!

              Thracia is my fave

I was a bit too young for Thracia so the nostalgia goggles don't fit and i can't enjoy the lower graphics and animations. I am still hoping they remake it for the switch with Genealogy but i am not holding my breath.

If you want to break FE7 just spam the arenas until all characters are level 20 or Lvl 20 evolved at one point your characters are so much above the stats of the enemies you can just grind money until your battery runs out. I did that. For years.

I wish I got to experience more of the supports. I definitely thought the writing was good, especially with characters like Lyn and Hector.

I'll have to try FE7 again eventually, I played so horribly that my lords were doing no damage to the Fire Dragon. On Eliwood Mode. Athos + Canas both using Luna hard carried that final battle.

My brother and i won by grinding the arenas and grinding bosses at any occasion. I think that if you keep at it with the same crew you can get quite a great team. the first time my brother finished the game he had like 7 characters left the rest were all dead. Very hard.

Fire Emblem is my favorite. Been playing it since it hit the States over 20 years ago. Don’t like its direction since Awakening, but I appreciate that it’s still around.

That being said, it’s so my favorite that I have copies of Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn,my favorite games, that will never EVER leave my collection. They are also in perfect condition.

I bought it on release for the Wii U. It was fine, but I lost interest due to another game stealing my interest. Don’t make fun of me but that game was Paper Mario Color Splash and I unironically enjoyed it. My husband and I played it together while I was recovering from surgery.

That is honestly reasonable! I got to the very end of TMS and then lost interest, and then lost my Switch entirely when I moved. It's maybe around somewhere?

That’s a damn shame. I might pick it up on the Switch in the near future tbh. Ever since I played P5 and P4, I’ve grown to like that style of game. Gonna have to when I get the time.

You didn't ask me, but my Grandma taught me a recipe that she called Quarter Potato Soup.

For each serving you want of soup (so if you're making three bowls of soup, triple the recipe, etc.):

      • quarter pound of diced potatoes
      • quarter cup of diced celery
      • quarter cup of diced onion
      • season with a quarter teaspoon each of salt and pepper
      • boil in a cup of water (a quarter of a quart! haha!) for... more than a quarter of an hour, hehe nothing ever lines up perfectly, sweetie. Just make sure the taters are cooked until you can stick 'em with a fork and it comes out easily

      then:

      • quarter cup of cheddar cheese
      • quarter cup of heavy cream
      • pulse with a stick blender until it's the consistency you want. I like mine with a bunch of chunks still in it, but you can blend it smooth, too!
      • add more salt and pepper if you want. Or don't, I'm your Grandma, not your mom, have fun!

You can top with bacon, chives, and sour cream, too, if you want that loaded potato experience. But it's great all on its own. It also tastes really good if you use chicken stock instead of water, but it's really not necessary—the cheese and cream really carry it. But if you want to make it vegetarian / vegan, omit the cheese and cream, and cook them taters in veggie stock! Still a good soup!

Oh, and you can also make broccoli or cauliflower soup in a similar way. Just roast your trees of choice in the oven with a bit of oil, salt, and pepper first. It makes 'em a little smoky so they don't just taste like boring vegetable. You can cook them all the way at 400°F for a quarter hour or a bit then just blend them in at the end, or flash them under a ripping hot broiler for a minute or so until they char, and then cook them in the soup.

Incidentally, about a quarter cup of those (diced up) also makes for a good single bowl of soup. Quarter soup!

      Good question :

      • Chicken stock cube
      • 450gr of Pumpkin flessh in small blocks
      • 2-3 carottes in small blocks
      • 2 onions cut in half then in 3
      • 1,5 litter of boiling water

Let it boil for 30" or longer. Mix it all

      Salt and pepper enjoy

I have been making batch after batch for the past 2 months due to how humongous the pumpkin i bought and froze in october was. It's still very good and a cure-all

Oh, um, hello, by the way. I got really caught up yapping about soup downthread that I forgot to actually say hi. Hi!

    mao-clap

I also love the hell out of Gravity Falls. It's a beautiful show that had a firmly planned ending from the start, and Hirsch and Co. absolutely stuck the landing. AND I also love that he used his clout with Disney to amplify Dana Terrace's voice to create The Owl House, and then just... took a back seat! He voiced just the one character, and let Dana tell her story that was as cool and queer and quirky as she wanted. And Alex absolutely went to the mat on this show to get a same-sex kiss on-screen—he practically had to fistfight Disney to make it happen.

I will gush about those two series for like 200 hours, please stop me.

I won't stop you ! Also i love how much of shitposters both he and Dana are outside of it. Both Chaos Gremlin last month she spread around a censored episode of Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur (the one with a Trans character being the center of the plot)

And i love that Alex Hirsch just sang with hooty's voice little miss perfect which was a song Lumity shippers used a lot. I love them.

    Hi and welcome!!! ralsei-wave

Glad you’re here and please feel free to ask anything about the site you might want to know.

Also what your favorite ttrpg? I’ve kinda been wanting to get into non-dnd ttrpgs lately but kinda hard to find groups sometimes for specific games.

Sadly i am much into DnD RN as i am in the middle of preparing my 1st campaign as a GM + 3 other campaigns ongoing with 5e !

So 5e is the one i'm most used to, someday i might be enticed into learning a new one but rn I feel very proficient with it...

Fire Emblem is cool, but I really only played Awakening like the filthy normie I am. I want to play Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance tho, same with Shadow Dragon.

I never finished Radiant and Path of Radiance, these games are SO long it's impressive, great everything but the balance is uber punishing. Shadow dragon is cool but i played it so young that i immediately broke the gameplay by spamming the arena which you can do and if you handle your fights correctly you have maxxed up characters + infinite money at the end of it
