The hatred from people in the global south for their previous colonial occupiers is near universal, especially for the Fr*nch in North/West Africa. A worryingly large minority I've run into online & abroad are less skeptical of the US than I'd have hoped, as they're eager to ditch the Europeans and their interference and bullshit. Outside of the Americas, basically everywhere but India, people are pretty hopeful about Chinese investments.
