I miss not knowing who the world's richest person is.

This timeline sucks, but it could get really funny.

You probably don't. It's very likely King Charles, or somebody in the Saud family. Or one many hereditary banking families that have spanned centuries. Their exemption from public disclosure laws serves many purposes—obfuscating their obscene wealth is one of them.

You're right. It's just really annoying that they're flexing on us at this point. I think I'll read theory tonight.

More or less agree, but the Musk persona is getting so disproportionately well known compared to other billionaires that he's gonna start redirecting a lot of people to hate him personally rather than his entire class.

doubled edged sword. his sheer stumbling brute-force not subtle way of doing things is also tearing and setting fire to the curtain that used to conceal the true power behind liberal democracy

so yeah you'll have plenty of ideological libs looking at musk as a problem to be solved to save capitalism. but other, less ideologically committed and politically unactivated may see him as part of the ecosystem of deny-defend-depose

those are the people we need to pay attention to and be there to educate

That's true, but sometimes, I crave not having this specific billionaire in the news every day.

It's kinda nice though that he won't be believably mythologized like Edison, or even Steve Jobs at this rate.
