The term "tankie" is so watered down at this point it has no meaning. It's just a subjective euphemism for "I personally dislike it." Which is a great sentiment if building a movement.
9/10 times just means someone with a better historical understanding of the 20th century than me. most people using the term these days are fair weather twitter "socialists" with marvel movie utopian view of everything and no real understanding of things as basic as class struggle, imperialism let alone dialectical/historical materialism. and all western chauvinists of course.

I periodically see anarchists and libs who are pro-public healthcare get called tankies. Idk
