Every time this happens I look at the state and ask myself "will they retaliate?"..I was surprised CA didn't, I was surprised WI did...now it's IL again and I don't have to wonder because Chicago reliably puts down for the cause :bottle: :luau:
It does seem like mob justice against one of these pigs is going to happen at some point.
This stuff is going to continue and keep escalating under Biden who will do nothing about it.
I'm in a special interest FB group for BIPOC. It's mostly libs, really. A few days ago someone put a vent post complaining about their white friend who refuses to vote for Biden because of moral principles or whatever and how frustrating that is to hear because Black people like OP are suffering under Trump. After several paragraphs of complaining OP goes, "at least Biden is willing to say that racism is bad and he condemns the KKK"
That's what people have to go on. Not that Biden will actually do anything to solve the problem, but that he'll verbally condemn the racist stuff that's happening. My takeaway from the whole thing was that people really, really value lip service, even if it's never backed by tangible action.
I feel you there. On Facebook, I have an old friend from high school who despite being a lib will at least acknowledge that the Democratic party does nothing about issues, and he makes these same arguments. He knows damn well, and will rant about the Dems doing a poor job but then turns around and will say to me "at least they'll acknowledge you and say something. That's better than nothing, right?" and I'll be like, are you fucking kidding me? Lip service don't make me happier. The thing about the GOP is that they don't lie to you and pretend they care, they flat out admit they fucking hate you for being poor, POC, or LGBT.
To so many libs, the whole "we see you, we hear you" lip service makes them sleep better at night. It don't for me. It just pisses me off that they can acknowledge things are bad and aren't going to do anything about it, and libs are so smug about this stuff.
They really don't care that Biden isn't going to solve anything cause at the end of the day, they aren't the ones really hurting from it. They just want their lip service to lean back on, and most of their problem with Trump is just that he's mean and stuff about foreign policy. I know another lib who's entire problem with Trump is that he's not pushing to bomb Iran. That guy will even go as far to complain that conservatives aren't as pro-war as they should be.
I fucking hate these people so much. Any time I see posts on this site about radicalizing libs, I have to wonder where the people posting that stuff fall on the income level, cause I can damn sure tell you being poor, that libs don't give a fuck about anyone suffering like us. They can't relate to police brutality incidents cause they've never been in any situation like that. They literally think we just need POC in law enforcement to solve the problem.
