So I don’t really even know if I should be making this post, but I’m not sure what else to do.
Yesterday I went to login to my account and it said my login credentials were invalid. I thought no worries, new site, someone may have found a way to hack my password and change my account. So I created this account.
I had both of these passwords saved into my password manager. I went to try logging into my “old” account and both logins were deleted from my password manager.
Anyone good at security that could tell me how this breach could happen. And if I should be worried about being on some sort of watch list or whatever. No other passwords that I can tell have been deleted.

WHAT THE FUCK! It’s now back in my password manager. Holy shit this is weird and tripping me out and I haven’t been high for months.
Edit: But I still can’t login to my account.

So it seems this is being looked at by the devs.
For others looking to have multiple accounts, but not wanting a ton of email addresses, you can modify a Proton Mail account pretty easily and it's accepted in the forms here.
For example, if my email is JohnBrown420@protonmail.com and I want to make a unique email for each account I have, I could make accounts xXx69420xXx and JBRulez using JohnBrown420+xXx69420xXx@protonmail.com and JohnBrown420+JBRulez@protonmail.com. These would register as unique emails for ChaCha, and would allow easy filtering in the client, but they would all go to the original email account.
That way, if you ever have an account where you forget your password, all recovery emails actually end up in the same Proton Mail account, and you don't have to worry about which email goes where.
I don’t think this is an issue with Chacha at all and I would honestly take this post down, but there’s been some good information shared like your reply so I think I’ll keep it up, but if the mods would prefer I remove it I have no problem.
I'd try to log into some other sites in your password manager to make sure those still work and that it wasn't your pwmanager that got compromised
The only people who could hack into my password manager without my notification would need to have a back door so I wasn’t notified. I checked and the other ones are working. Unless they gained device access, but I don’t see how that’s possible.
Download Malwarebytes and run scan.
More likely a user error (aka you) but no harm in checking it out.
Unless in the middle of my sleep I deleted a password from my password manager I don’t see how it could be my error. Malware bytes doesn’t really check much on phones. Thank you though.
I had the exact same thing happen to me just now. I had made an account on launch day, had an email on it, then a couple days later made another account to take advantage of an early username. When I read this post, I logged off to get on my original account and take the email off so I could put it on my main one. Both of my passwords were gone from my keychain and I was only able to access the first account through email recovery. So I've lost access to my main account. I'm not convinced it was hacking related however, I think has more to do with Apple/safari keychain being fucked.
I’m sorry you had to lose an account to figure out this issue for me, but thank you for your help. I guess it’s a good idea never to use keychain. Have you ever had an issue like this before?
No problem, not much lost besides a cool username, but I snagged the next best option haha. It’s my own fault for procrastinating adding my email to my account. Anyway no, this is the first time I’ve had that happen on any website
