How could it not just repeat? Another neolib ghoul, Trump on the ropes, people claiming Biden has a 90%+ chance if winning, Bernie cut out and ratfucked but still stumping for the neolib candidate, a disorganized and undisciplined left that lacks militancy.

The only big differences this time is Q, Trump going standard GOP instead of attacking them and not being the outsider but the one man most responsible for the last 4 years (as far as any one person could), both candidates are dementiad out, and Biden being personally likeable instead of off-putting. And corona, too.

You underestimate just how much Americans didn't like HRC. Joe Biden might be pretty much the same person in regards to position, but that doesn't matter because he's liked, more or less.

Hillary lost because people didn't come out for her. I don't think Joe will have that problem. The only group he's struggling with is young black men, and they're likely not to vote instead of voting Trump. Young people are not reliable voters anyway, so it's negligible.

OP is right, Biden wins, DNC takes this as Republicans will vote for us if we're Republican lite, and in 4 years they will lose. 2 years for the house.

      Same as it ever was.

I think you underestimate how important her evil policies were, in making people hate her. Sure some of it was "hurr durr she has a vagine and she eats babies in a pizzeria basement". But most of it was "another fucking Democrat that isn't going to do shit for me, I guess I'll trust the 0.000000001% chance that the Apprentice Guy isn't a complete and total fucking liar, or just not vote".

By running Biden, someone even worse than Clinton politically and also with Alzheimer's, they ensure that anyone who felt that way then, still feels that way in 2020.

We’re going to have record turnout in cities and places that doesn’t matter electorally. Trump people will be having record turnout when they’re vote is worth two. One to cancel out and one for the electoral inflation.

Ah, so the only big differences are everything that Americans use to judge their political candidates.

        lol

I think the only actual consequential one is that Trump stopped acting like an insurgent outsider

I don't know man, I think maybe we underestimated how much boomers & regular people just want to go back to living their lives comfortably. The COVID mishandling is probably going to be the nail in the coffin.

Do former Trump voters actually think he fucked up his covid response? I've only ever seen libs say he mishandled it, but I don't know too many open Trump fans who made any comment on the virus other than china did it.

I think the general opinion is that US government fucked up the COVID response, have to remember that the general populace is not terminally online

True, I also live in Chudland™ where boots are always on the menu so my immediate area isn't very telling of the rest of the country.

A lot more people voted for Trump than just the vocal supporters / base
