I'll start.

There really is no point to monogamy other than to feed one's ego and aspiring to have your own children over adopting is its own form of eugenics.

Pronouns in a largely anonymous space is ridiculous. I get it makes people feel more accepted, but what makes that different from having a checklist for ethnicity, or is there some hierarchy of interests?

Yes, and when you run into that ambiguity, the user specifies that distinction, just as how it's always been since the dawn of the internet. What was ever lost?

just as how it’s always been

One of the least persuasive reasons for doing something is "that's how we've done it in the past." Shouldn't we be improving?

              What was ever lost?

I'm far from an expert on the topic, but I imagine it feels pretty shitty to be misgendered. Pronouns seem like a simple fix. They're also helpful for getting a feel for the site demographics, and for getting additional information on a commenter's perspective.

My controversial opinion is that using none/use name is shitty as hell unless you have an actual identity-based reason. Have you ever tried writing about someone without using pronouns. It fucking sucks.
