I genuinely do hate to be an edgelord nihilist, but after all the commotion the libs made about Putin bots and 'useful idiots' undermining the legitimacy of their precious institutions, this is exactly what they deserve. All that effort they pumped into "new patriotism," all those NYT bestsellers about "doing justice," all the cultural works cranked out to redeem and recapture the legacy of this nation's founders, and it all boils down to this.
We're on our own folks. The only path forward is the path of Chile. Burn the Constitution.
its bad but its also a really fucking effective way to radicalize your lib friends who naively have faith in the system
start now and plant the seeds because in four years when the democrats have done jack shit and we still all collectively hate this hellworld you can be watering that seed the whole time
And in four years, those same libs will just be telling us to "vote blue no matter who" yet again.
will they, though? ive had the best luck radicalizing people through opening their eyes to whats happening in the moment, especially when that is effecting them personally. even my liberal wife is now like "this country is fucked" and if this election goes sour or if biden doesnt do jack shit its going to break her. another friend of mine who was very politically apathetic, i encouraged him to get a union job and the coronavirus thing has totally changed him. he's basically a radical wobbly now and is starting a gun collection and is always pushing his fellow workers to strike. his shop will be striking early next year, actually
anyways always plant the seeds. everywhere you go plant seeds and water them often :)
worst part is that the democrats could have stopped this but decided not to, as always. there's only a week until the elections, they could have stalled this easily.
Are you kidding? They're fundraising like crazy after this. Might as well since this will be the last grift!
As the minority party how could they have actually stalled it long enough?
there was a big list, but the strongest one I remember is the house can bring privileged matters to the senate that take priority over the confirmation
I remember something about forcing a role call before every vote in the Senate, forcing every republican to show up for even the most procedural votes. Would have slowed it down idk if it would have been enough.
not to say atodaso, but when RBG croaked I called it happening before end of October
I'd rather be dead than be surprised or bummed about the clear as daybreak that the democrats arnt here to do anything for you
who's surprised? people are just sad that a whole new wave of hurt is going to come down on vulnerable people.
