I can’t wait to see the look on all these “support black business” type-libs’ faces when they realize rich black people don’t actually give a fuck about poor black people

yeah i cant wrap my head around that much money. if i even just had 100k id try to figure something out like living on a beach in a hut litteraly anywhere but the US for the rest of my life. its bizzare to "hoard" money like that. if my high school econ class taught me anything, it was that this leads to the dollar amount being wortha lot less to the folk

Is it about taxes? I know Ice Cube went to both parties about something (forgetting what) and only the Republicans/Trump promised he'd listen. The dems were "oh we'll listen to you after the election."

Ice cube wants a bunch of money pumped into the black community so it can trickle up, hopefully into his basket ball league im sure. I'm not saying reparations are bad.

but on bad faith pod he was extremely uncomfortable with all the ism talk as he said. He also had no idea politically what he is talking about. He did say he doesn't want rich people paying for everything. That you gotta make your way. So I mean his a conservative boot strapper. Also was paying no attention to the primary. The guy is just your average dumb voter that comes in at the end and messes with others hard activism.

Its pretty clear he doesn't really know what his talking about.

Oh, I agree Cube is dumb. I'm just saying the "suddenly: Black Rapper Support!" isn't so shocking if going by Cube's admission of "I tried to talk to both, the dem's wanted to wait. So yeah... fuck them" is true.

Kamala Harris invited Ice Cube to a zoom call with some other people but Ice Cube wanted to talk alone.

100% with you. Everything always goes back to the class war. This is a PERFECT example of how the class war is more important than any ID-POL bullshit.

Not gonna act like I'm as deep into rap and hip hop as some but here's my hot take:

Wayne was a clever lyricist. Kanye was a good producer. As overall artists? Fuck em. The depth of what they both had to say wouldn't fill a cookie sheet.

Kanye was always too lost up his own ass. Wayne's music was often filled with rampant homophobia, misogyny, and idolatry of riches.

    I'm not surprised

i am deep into hip hop and nah this is wrong

both kanye and wayne are incredible artists who shaped modern music

that's why this really hurts :/

Fuck celebrity worship and all that but Wayne is quite possibly the most influential artist of the entire 21st century and I’m not even much of a fan of his music

Republicans: democrats love to use PoC as tokens because they’re racist

Republicans: this black rapper loves Trump!

I mean to be fair at this point I would be less surprised if Trump did an about-face on certain things in his second term than I would be if Biden actually cared. Trump has the ability to go to the left of Biden if his weird brain can cobble together some sort of rationale for why it fits his ideology or his grift.

I think this is about ice cubes thing, this isn't an endorsement of Trump, they are just trying to get money from the government into the black community, they don't care who they work with or have to support to get it.
