I remember the first night of bombs dropped on Baghdad they literally just played still footage of the entire city getting bombed with no commentary i was pretty young but even then I could tell it was insane. Thousands of people dying so we can watch these fireworks.

Shock and Awe was the worst thing this country has done during my life. And we celebrated it like it was the Olympics. Disgusting.
All the chuds and some liberals who supported the war used to get upset that we didn’t throw ticker tape parades like we used to for the troops in WWII.
It absolutely can't be understated how celebrated murdering Iraqis was. When I get off work I'll dig up news coverage of the time for zoomers to understand how fucking elated Americans were to massacre Iraqis.
