A new cold war is ramping up right now and you want the left to just ignore it because some white people think they know how to China should be run and discussing it might hurt their fee fees?

If you are a genuine socialist, or even a good-faith liberal, you absolutely should be talking about China and figuring out what to think. There's a fuckton of history and geopolitics at play, and if you want to be news-literate at the end of the decade (or even currently) it'd be wise to start learning how and why the CCP does what it does.

Socialists should be diving into Cuba and he DPRK too, but those are more of hobby discussions (as long as you aren't supporting imperialist measures against such countries)

Right I'm backing you up against the person saying "actually let's not discuss the country that's gonna be incredibly influential on how the world runs in a decade or two"

You don't even have to support them to see that the discussion is important, especially in a political community.

There are literally 2 words about China in this post and the rest of it is entirely centred around USSR, Cuba and the Soviets as a whole. Jog on.

If we don't constantly push back against Chinese fake news we are complicit with it. ___
