I'm trying to make a spooky halloween playlist. i already have:
- pet sematary by the ramones
- season of the witch by donovan
- werewolves of london
- halloween by siouxsie and the banshees
- don't fear the reaper
- a nightmare on my street by will smith
- 96 neve campbell by clipping
- a nightmare on elm street, night of the living dead, and halloween by the misfits
- hammer horror by kate bush
- feed my frankenstein by alice cooper
- scary monsters by david bowie
- number of the beast by iron maiden
- suspiria by goblin
- dracula's wedding by outkast
- night of the Vampire by roky erickson
- and some songs by rob zombie and the cramps
I'm fine with any genre as long as it's spooky or horror-themed! (please don't recommend the monster mash lol)
The Kreeps are a good horror/surf punk band. Havent listened to a whole lot but Bad Voodoo and Dead Man Walking are solid tracks.
Bad Voodoo: https://youtu.be/iRmhsupZgCE
Dead Man Walking: https://youtu.be/hmrlikOrg4g
It's Ryan Gosling's band and is really damn good.
The Caretaker - An Empty Bliss Beyond This World
It's like drowning with the Titanic.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F#A#Infinity
Very soundtrack to the apocalypse.
lol I didn't know that Ryan gosling had a band but I really like it! I've heard of the other two but never listened to them, but I'll check them out. thank you!
Dopethrone by electric wizard if you wanna get Stoney and spooky
lol I can't believe I didn't think of bat out of hell. i really like the other two, I've never seen rocky horror picture show and I was never really into my chemical romance. thank you!
Anything from any psycobilly bands, specifically the meteors
ah I can't believe I forgot bela lugosi's dead! i really like dead moon night, thank you!
Was in Oxbow's tap room in Portland, Maine and they had this album playing. It was so weird, because it starts as surf rock, then gets more psychedelic like this.
i like those first two, I'll have to check out more from them. and i never really listened to the cramps until I started making this playlist but it seems like all of their songs are perfect for a spooky halloween playlist lol, and i like everything I've heard from them. thank you!
whoa I've definitely heard that song before and I like it, I'll check out their other poe songs. and you reminded me that lou reed also did an album based on Edgar allan poe that's really good. thank you!
How spookybwe talking? You wanna throw some industrial metal, dark ambient, or noise in there?
lol I guess that I kinda prefer lyrics, but I have the suspiria theme and I'm going to add more goblin songs, so really I'm open to anything spooky! hit me with some songs!
Lots of what Oingo Boingo does, but most famously No One Lives Forever and Dead Man’s Party.
I've heard dead man's party before but not no one lives forever, and I like them both! i always thought oingo boingo was just like a joke band from the late 70s and 80s, but I just looked them up and danny elfman was a prominent member?? I'm gonna have to check out more of their stuff, thank you!
i saw them live a few years ago at a festival but I've never really listened to them, but so far I really like the first couple songs on that album lol. I'll give it a listen, thank you!
not really a song, but the siren song from secret world online is good spooky ambience
Do The Time Warp - Rocky Horror Picture Show
Don't meet mr frankenstein - Carlos Cazal
Swamp Girl - Kay Martin and her bodyguards
i really need to watch rocky horror picture show lol. but these are all good, thank you!
Queens of the Stone Age: Someone's in the wolf. Also tangled up in plaid from them.
Basically the entire Lullabies to paralyse album from Queens of the Stone Age
