i have to be honest and say this is my expectation too, but im totally aware of the possibility of a 2000-esque judicial coup. trump's testing the waters with it already.

My serious prediction is that Biden will get a clear win in the final count, and Trump will claim victory but not actually be able to back it up (Matt Bevin style) because it won't be close enough to pull the 2000 routine. There will be some incidents of violence by Trump supporters, but nothing earth-shaking. Trump will have to leave office, and will at most face some fines, but will not go to jail.

Courts stealing it is definitely a possibility, but not the most likely one IMO. If they did, then that's more or less an event horizon; the situation is much more tense than 2000, and there could be serious repercussions.

100% chance election is way closer than the polls have it

50% chance it's a toss-up and the Court hands it to Trump

    10-20% chance sustained violence

My prediction is that Biden wins, Trumps makes a fuss about it but ultimately concedes. At Biden's inauguration Trump vows to run in 2024, and liberals will use that specter to squash any criticism of Biden and the Dems in the name of keeping "the party" united for the next election for the following four years.

It's going to be disappointingly boring. At most there will be a few chud terrorist attacks. Trump might bitch and moan, but he'll ultimately concede to Biden and in a few months we'll be back to our usual neoliberal imperialist status quo. Nothing truly destabilizing will happen for at least a couple decades.

But I hope I'm wrong and the state immediately collapses into civil war on November 4th.

tbh I think Trump's going to win outright this time, popular and electoral

but death to america, of course

Republicans have won the popular vote once in 32 years, how is one of the most unpopular presidents going to be an outlier here? There's virtually zero percent chance of that happening. His only chance at a legitimate win is an extremely narrow EC victory just like 2016.

for me, biden wins the electoral college, trump declares victory, supreme court calls it for trump, biden concedes

i think a judicial coup by trump is the most possible outcome, what im not sure is how the dems will react, i know the establishment will try to do nothing, but their supporters may force them to try to do something against trump

the best thing about this scenario is that it will kill any hope in electoralism in the left, and kill the liberalism in a lot of US leftists

I'm skeptical of the worst case scenario of Trump not conceding and the court stuff. He is going to be too lazy and the republicans don't really need him to win anymore as the courts are in their hands. Of course, I'm not going to be surprised at anything Tuesday night.

My brain says supreme court but my gut says complete societal collapse so one or the other
