Damn, voting for Biden didn't work. Can't believe electoral institutions weren't on my side. I've exhausted all posibilities so I'll just do nothing

Was she always this much of a lib or did I just misread her when I was binging her videos a couple years back? Or did something happen in the interim?

She was basically a gateway drug for people to go to the left, but looking back she's always been a lib. I loved her "Problems with Capitalism" video the first time I saw it, but watching it now it's completely surface level and offers no solution to those problems, marxist or otherwise.

I also enjoyed those videos. Though I am pretty annoyed that the leftist viewpoint in the Part 2 video amounted to "smash things because it's fun" and "use buzzwords randomly".

My disconnect with Contra has basically been realizing that her caricature of an antifa activist is right about everything.

Her entire schtick was trying to explain things to Chuds. Of course she was a fucking lib.

"Oh, they're just misunderstood. I bet I can win them over with logic and reason."

Valiant attempt and she made some incredible art, but yeah. It was always Lib-tier shit.

I dont think that explaining things to chuds is lib at all. I am sure at least half of us used to be chuds.

          not defending contra

Isn't the lib position "it's not my job to educate you!" and to hyperventilate about legitimizing oppression by engaging with chuds? Actually meeting people where they are and engaging in a dialect to try and change minds is something the left should be doing.

Isn’t the lib position “it’s not my job to educate you!”

Depends on the audience. A lot of this is reactionary and counter-reactionary shit where - say - a conservative insists climate change isn't real until he's been presented with a full calculus proof on thermal patterns spanning six centuries.

Actually meeting people where they are and engaging in a dialect to try and change minds is something the left should be doing.

That tends to depend on the message. Lots of ideological evangelicals try to change other people's minds. I'm not sure I'd call Ross Perot and Milton Friedman leftists.

Go and watch her video on luxury. She's always been a lib. You just missed it because you assumed someone has to be stupid to be a lib or a radical leftist to make fun of fascists. She hasn't undergone some kind of profound shift in worldview because she got filthy stinkin' rich off that Breadtube money, she's just never had much faith in the possibility of revolution in the first world.

I think that's more to do with her making money cuz a bunch of dudes simp for her now than anything related to her being trans lol.

It's not about her being trans. It's about her getting that monkey of her back and having one materially existential threat less to worry about.

technically they only purged libs because they mass-banned anyone that posted in CTH.

Except me, they purged the one true Socialist
