The problem isn't really skepticism per se, it's more like obliviousness. The gender binary construct has people wrapped up in this rigid framework that just doesn't fucking fit at least some of the time. The best example of I can give of how this can go wrong is the idea that gender preference is innate and you're born with it. Well, I'm not born with it, you see. So this is all well and good when you're explaining to a conservative dumbshit why they shouldn't discriminate against gays and lesbians, but if you start making laws based on this idea, then you're limiting the options for a guy who is age 35 when he discovers that sucking dicks is fun actually. Basically, fuck the gender binary, it causes more problems than it solves.
