My cat's missing and it would be way easier to find him if he was the only one out there.

Thanks for the kindness, me too. He's the quintessential scaredy-cat and he hasn't been home for 3 days now. I was trying not to worry, cause "He's a cat right? He'll wander back in a few days." But now its getting cold out & he's never gone very far before when he managed to escape.

      Come home Williams.

Do you have anything around it can get under? My cat did this once and the doofus spent weeks living under our doorstep lol and we kept overlooking it. I hope Williams comes home

Thanks! There's a shed in the backyard he always runs to when he gets out, but I cant see under it due to all the leaf-litter. He usually comes out when i call for him, but ill try & get under there tonight.

I feel for you. Once I thought my cat got out and I was a wreck trying to find him, and then I came back home and he had somehow snuck in a kitchen cabinet.

Sorry about your cat :( Leave their litterbox and some food and water outside!

I tried leaving his favorite canned food out, but the neighborhood possums end up eating it all by morning. And while i approve of possum-related dopiness it's not helping.

    oh nooooooo.

my cat turned up in my yard a year ago and I don't let her out since I adopted her. I feel guilty but I hope her brain is small enough to not know what she's missing.

if you have a cat carrier, you can put it outside with some of your clothes in it. however you only want to do this when you can check it often. a single door makes him vulnerable to predators

I'm sorry to hear about your cat's disappearance, comrade. Is he normally an outdoor cat, or did he accidentally get out? My son has an indoor/outdoor cat that tends to disappear for a few days at a time, but always manages to come back. They scrounge for food, pick fights with other cats, and sometimes find another house to grift food from.

My cat's my baby girl, and I'd be super upset if I couldn't find her. But I know she'd make her way back eventually. Hang in there and try not to stress too much, he'll be back!

I'm not sure if you're in a place where this would do much good, but if it were my cat, after 3 days I would be making flyers with his picture and your contact info to put in neighbor's mailboxes and post in visible spots. It might also be worth calling your local animal shelter to see if they have any new arrivals that match Williams' description.

Anyway.... Solidarity from a fellow cat lover. :heart-sickle:

No. 😿 I've put in my contact info with all the local vets & shelters and put out signs. I'm hoping he's shacked up with another family somewhere.

Shit. I'm sorry to hear to that comrade. :( I hope he still does show up. Fwiw, I had a cat years ago that was missing for over 2 weeks only to suddenly start meowing at the door one day.

I've still got hope. He's gotten out quite a few times in the past & he was a street cat when i adopted him so he can handle himself alright. He knows where home is.

This is making fun of people on this site who hate cats, not you losing your cat. I hope you find your cat, comrade.
