    This is why you should just describe yourself as a communist or anarchist.

    Not a ‘progressive’. Not a ‘leftist’. Not a ‘democratic socialist’. Not even a ‘socialist’. Communist or anarchist or bust.

      Honestly, it's inevitable.

      The word Socialist used to be just as scary. And there are some places with communist parties that are basically just succdems.

      If you're not a revolutionary organization, you will be coopted or destroyed eventually.

      or both, 'I'm an anarchist communist' never fails to get people's(outside of the left) gears turning, and can actually lead to productive conversations

      it’s a double edged sword because people hear communism and think you’re crazy. there’s been so much propaganda, sometimes leftist gets thru easier
