This is looking at mainstream political culture -- which broadly classifies everything as right or left -- and trying to impose the classification system of a minority viewpoint without any explanation whatsoever. Not only are you not communicating anything of value, but your failure to grasp their thinking and respond to it makes it easy for them to write you off. A better response would be something like:
Biden is a liberal. He'll talk about race or the working class in a positive way, but at the end of the day he's beholden to big business. He's fundamentally a capitalist; he likes your boss more than he likes you. He might produce some progress, but it's always a half measure, and it's always late.
A leftist is someone who recognizes capitalism itself as a problem, and talks about policies that would materially, directly benefit workers. Leftists are talking about universal healthcare free at the point of service while liberals are talking about working with insurance companies to make sure you pay "only" $150/month for poor coverage.

it’s a double edged sword because people hear communism and think you’re crazy. there’s been so much propaganda, sometimes leftist gets thru easier
