If the Republican side won the civil war this guy would have been shot in the face by an Anarchist decades ago

Blame the German socdems, they prevented communist Germany, imagine Republican Spain with the backing of Communist Germany. Just imagine.

          Okay.
Imagine a Communist Germany, after having regained its industrial power, stretching out its hand to all the people who yearn to be free all throughout Europe.
In the end leading to a unified Communist Eurasia with the other two central powers: the Soviet Union and Maos China.

I agree they obviously had their differences. But I'm not so sure, if the Russian revolutionaries could have had Germanys backing, like Lenin had hoped for, then I'd imagine the Soviet Union wouldn't necessarily enact policies it did enact in our timeline because of intense pressure and WW2. In turn leading to more cooperation than we would expect with the knowledge of how our history played out.

Edit: Everything could've been so radically different than it has been, if just Germanys revolution could've succeeded.

ww2 would probably still happen due to the allied powers demand of austerity. this time the war would be france, japan, italy, uk, usa, finland vs germany and ussr. i also bet they would not do their policy of appeasement at all with socialists

Of course, you are correct in that there would've been a backlash by capitalist powers, but I don't believe they would've dared to start a war with a unified Germany/USSR, possibly some other countries whose revolutions they might've helped along the way too. The US couldn't be arsed to join the war until Pearl Harbor either, so...

This timeline includes nukes being dropped on Munich

Einstein and his colleagues are still living in communist Germany, sorry.

                    Edit: On the Manhattan project:

This project came as the result of Albert Einstein learning that Germany was developing atomic weapons. Einstein relayed this critical information in a letter—known as the Einstein Letter—to President Franklin Roosevelt, and soon thereafter, the development of the atom bomb was elevated to the highest priority national security project.

Yes, so much this. After the 8 Obama years of our liberals not knowing what to do, now since Trump we're back to proudly saying "haha look at the stupid Americans haha"

Edit: You think the US is bad, we just let the refugees drown in the Mediteranean, the US at least puts them in cages.

Europe is a shithole but the only way that is relevant to the US is as evidence of how useless electoralism is. Most countries in the EU already have multiple parties, proportional systems instead of FPTP, no gerrymandering, a limit to campaign spending etc, things that libs usually list as the solution to all the US political problems. Nope, you still get a capitalist hellhole even with all of those.

And the parties America would like, like the socdems in Europe, are actively helping building our capitalist hellhole. No opposition whatsoever.

By now capitalism is like gospel in the west and everything else is heresy.
