Be so much more sane if they just stopped indoor dining.

Increase ventilation, focus on getting people in and out for pickups quick and avoiding lines.

    sigh.

Insane people feel entitled to an imaginary experience that everything is normal and okay because they can sit in a restaurant, and our weak state governments don't have the will or desire to try and tell people that their feelings are worthless relative to the greater good of our society. I work at a cafe with indoor dining and when we were still doing takeout only my cheerily blackpilled coworker never shut up about how stupid it was that he wasn't allowed to sit at a table and cough into everyone else's mouths. He would brag about driving 2 hours each way to a restaurant in a bordering state just because they had indoor dining, and how people like him would "totally revitalize [state]'s economy."

When covid was just starting he stressed constantly about the cruise ship industry and how they can't be shut down because his parents were had annual passes to carnival cruise lines and "some of my dearest childhood memories were on cruise ships." I'd almost feel bad for him being so pathetic if he hadn't also said that people too disabled to do menial labour for the government deserve to die rather than getting welfare, and that "everyone in a border camp deserves to get coronavirus because they broke the law." Oh also he said the 1970's genocide of 1.5 million people in Indonesia was a good thing because "they were hunting communists and communists hate America."

I reported him to HR for saying this shit and the next day they told me that "it seems like you two have very different political opinions and you (not him) need to stop discussing these things because you're making your coworkers uncomfortable."
