    Got a group text from my two best friends last night, first time in a while because we were never culturally on board with always staying in contact.

    Anyway, they both got fired from their jobs because of rampant COVID spread and after commiserating about the jobs market I got:

    Friendo 1- "Dude im sick of these bs expectations for the mid to low class. it's just suffering in silence for most of us. I can't cope osme of these days."

    F1- "After nearly a month of not smoking pot it hit me that things are bad"

    Friendo 2- "I mean the spread of the virus is bad,, but politics are in the way of any possible help right now."

    F1- "Yeah, I miss everone but w/ how things are going I have to try and hold 2 jobs or risk drowning in my debt."

    My heart breaks for my friends and I will do everything I can to help them out. I don't want to contribute to their despondency and depression, but there is also that little accelerationist devil inside of me going

      Don’t wait for them to ask you. Help them in any meaningful way you can, and then lay it on them

        Oh don't worry, I'm on the case. I have been planting these seeds for almost 5 years now, I'm trying to do it tactfully without throwing them off the end into a pit of despair (like I did to myself.)

          You’re doing a hell of a lot better than I did. I’ve been able to somewhat radicalize my friend. (He’s gone from being a lolbertarian to most likely willing to support a Marxist candidate)
