Now that the Biden victory is set in stone and we’re going to return “normal” it’s depressing the hell out of me.

join a leftist organization, they will probably know what the most important problem that needs to be handled at a given time in your community

DSA can bee a good place to go to find other orgs. Mine has huge overlap with SRA, and keeps up to date with the actions of PSL, and some local anarchist/mutual aid groups. We're the only chapter in all of our part of the state and tri-state area so there's been a huge push recently to try and do left unity and coordinate as much a possible with every other group out here.

If you can find groups in your area, definitely reach out and try to get some sort of communication going between them. It's usually pretty easy, and pushing the orgs on social media is a huge help. It makes it easy for people to just look up "socialist group in [city]" and find who to contact. I did that a little for a ROC branch that was starting out here. Helped compile a list of organizations that could offer assistance to people and help organize workers and put that info front and center. Then set up a place for everyone to meet (encrypted stuff is better, but sometimes a public facing space like a discord is alright for just doing outreach).

ROC national didn't like me doing that because it's a bourgeois electoralist organization that just wants the aesthetics of worker power without the consequences, so I got kicked out, but the connections I made stuck.

Oof comrade I'm sorry to hear that. Tho I am kinda envious that you actually have an organization to join. I have had to settle with trying to convert my own friends.

Hot Take: Trump wasn't actually abnormal, he was the logical progression from Bush 2

There isn't a return to normal anytime soon. By Jan the hospitals will be over capacity it will take a huge effort with lock downs and masks that the US isn't capable of because of brain worms. Trump is just going to check out now because he doesn't care about saving lives. Biden is going to enter office to a massive crisis he is incapable of dealing with. I saw a stat that 50% of Americans won't take a Covid vaccine so herd immunity is a long long way off.

Biden only has a 50/50 chance of serving out his term; and when Kamela takes over half of America is going to lose their minds.
