Just woke up to horrible news, my best friend's father passed away yesterday night from Covid. I don't even know what to say to her or what to do, I'm staring at the ceiling while being completely numb. She has done some much for me and she's more than a sister at this point, especially when she almost singlehandedly kept me well fed and supplied when I had covid back in March. I wanna cry and gather enough strength to do something, but I just feel paralyzed and need to vent

so so sorry for your loss. I wish there was something I could do as a random internet stranger to ease you and your best friends pain. one thing I do during times of loss for those I love is cooking them food and making sure their fridge stays well stocked, if possible. its hard to take care of yourself when loss occurs--I'm sure your best friend and their family would appreciate it.

Thanks my friend, I will fly down to where she lives today to be with her, I can't leave her alone during this. Her mother already passed away 2-3 years ago and now she will be left all alone with tons of things to arrange with no immediate family support except her older brother who doesn't even live in the US anymore. Thanks again for the advice
