I guess because it's also basically a ps4 pro and a ps5? (Backwards compatibility with basically all ps4 games) So if you have a normal ps4 and a 4k TV, it can give a significant graphical and performance upgrade to your ps4 games library? I dunno I'm not going to buy one for a few years until it gets cheaper in my country, you're right it really is pointless to get one now. The above is the only reason I can think of.
The jump from 1080p to 4K (2160p) can be quite noticeable depending on how big the TV/Screen is and how close you sit to it. But still, 500USD or more for a resolution jump? I'll wait until there are actual games thanks

I'd rather have 1080p and 120 fps
I know Dirt 5 on the ps5 has that, not sure if other games and developers will do it
