Idk about the current drama, but I actually remember Zara specifically--unlike the vast majority of CTH posters--as the person I had the most heated (and repeated) arguments with on the subreddit.
Yeah, they're an overly aggressive try-hard asshole. Glad their ass is banned.
My only major interaction with Zara was Zara being rude as hell and me telling them they had to learn how to treat people nicely.
Yeah, I remember them being rude as hell when people were shit posting about the lemmy name on discord. They were always kinda abrasive on the subreddit too whenever they had a disagreement in the megathreads
Yeah it was really uncomfortable with them around. We'd be having fun doing the only thing we could possibly do if we couldn't directly contribute to development and then they'd demand complete and utter silence and get really abusive about it. It really was a game of "pacify Zara until they log off" for a while.
They were banned for being an asshole far as I know. I only really ever interacted with them when they were being Ace-phobic to someone on the discord, so good fucking riddence.

That's really shitty. I'm not sure if I'm ace–don't think I am, though did for a long time–and fr ace solidarity. It's one of those things where people arent so openly bigoted about it but make all sorts of small comments that make you feel like shit

They think they were banned because someone misgendered them. The someone misgendering them happened, but the person who did it apologized when they were confronted. Zara was still acting toxic to the person who apologized so the mod team decided to mute them both for 24hrs. Zara bumrushed the mods and admin DMs demanding they get let back in. When Quill Quote, who was trying to be nice and tell them they were muted for 24hrs but so was the person who apologized to them... Well... Zara went off the handle and began to accuse Quill of Transphobia and that mods don't care about non-binary folks. And thus the personal grudge against Quill began and why you'll see all the raiders jacketing Quill. And Quill was always trying his best to make sure even the people who hated him got a fair shake, and defended them more then once.
But now, it's just pure hate. Zara is not a comrade and any who buy into the Zara Clique and cult of personality is no comrade either.
Essentially for being a Zara Clique member who spent most their time bothering mods to unban Zara. Also for being in Zara's personal grudge server and plotting the mods and chapo.chat's demise.
They were banned later for something separate, but Im glad they're gone because of the anti-Ace shit. Thats all im saying.

Look, if we’re gonna ban people (rightly) for coming on here and spamming and calling out users because of petty personal drama, I think we also shouldn’t call people out, have a big hate x-user session and just perpetuate the drama. Ignore and move on.
Listen, I was all for ignoring Zara and their Clique. However, after tonight my patient for these people is growing thin. I say have their toxic natured brought out in the open. Let people try and defend the sectarian ace-phobe. Zara has a cult of personality around them and it needs to be shattered before more people are taken in by it.

The Zara Grudge machine seems to know no end. They've realized that they bullied Quill out of modding for the community, which is a real loss, but I'm seeing a lot of posts about me, now.
Ah, I’m sorry to hear that. When this ban situation first happened my knee-jerk reaction was to defend zara, because I recognised them from the sub and hadn’t personally had any bad interactions with them. But it’s quickly become a pretty ridiculous and indefensible response on the part of those posters.
I personally think the drama from them is really petty, I was banned (I think) and 100% deserved it and honestly don't understand how I wasn't banned sooner now that I think about it.
