What is some of the dumbest shit you've ever heard liberals say?

I'll go first: "Workers doesn't want to have the trouble of controlling the means of production. They have owners and managers for that."

People who own factories, for example, organise labour. That's a productive skill that has a labour value. They also purchase the labour of workers.

Despite this they don't directly keep the surplus value of that labour, they trade it for money and create a labour debt. The promise of which must be fulfilled at some point. They can do this because they're assured that the state will enforce that debt and make sure it's upheld by workers.

Sorry I do write things a bit topsy turvy at times. I have a strong regional accent IRL and it bleeds in to my text, sometimes it makes a mess when correcting for it.

      Thanks, that makes more sense.

Question though - who is the labour debt to, and what would the fulfilment of that debt look like?

In a word they owe a labour debt to the market. This is just how I conceptualise it, it's not a strict economic model. There is inherent waste in every instance of trade that has a negative productive value, it's easier to think the sum of that waste as a labour debt rather than analyse each component.
