Look, so long as the mortgage paperwork clearly declares that you're consenting to a long-running sociological experiment, I don't see any problem with this.

China's bourgeoisie are just as insufferable, or even more, than those in the west. I watched a doc a while ago, and there was this long extended scene where a bunch of them go to a simulation of a fancy French dinner party. Like they want to be westerners so badly it hurts, but all the can muster is this type of tacky simulacra. A bit like the housing developments in Dubai, which are just (bad) simulations of other regions in the world, a bit like those images.

      Accidentally deleted my comment

There's a ton of them (bourgeoisie) that live in orange county so my guess is this was the doing of some developer that went back from California.

On the bright side, China being a socialist country that retains an extant bourgeoisie class firmly leashed by the CPC means we get to see billionaires get executed occasionally for their crimes against humanity. That's a novelty I'm not sure exists anywhere else in the world.

State mandated housing to "See how the gringos live".

Plus it's an excellent place to develop suburbia based combat tactics for... when our time comes.

Seeing an American style neighborhood full of 🇨🇳 flags instead of amerikkka flags is slightly blessed. It's just on the wrong continent.
