Reading that made my skin itch. I’m imagining the article pitch went something like:
SALON EDITOR: Jake, we need an article trivializing opposition to the Iraq war.
TAPPER: How about I make it racist af for no reason?
SALON EDITOR: Now we’re cooking with gas!

The average person thinks that this article is somewhete between "cringe" and "wow, so funny". And they think you're insane if you think Jake is doing anything wrong or should be punished/chided in any form.
When liberals talk about "back to normal", they mean being able to publish this sort of content, carefree
I mean he has super mask off moments every month on twitter. Tapper said someone's twitter feed was "Controlled by Jews". Like he's done a ton of indefensible shit, even for libs. He's going to slip up again sometime. Just need to figure out a way to get him #cancelled
I don't think you understand. Normies don't consider that a "slip up". When they see a famous person get attacked for something like that, they don't think "haha he deserved it". They think "if a famous person got in that much trouble, I would be completely screwed if people came after me"

I can't believe someone got paid to write this. I would pay someone to erase it from existence, but the other way around is just incomprehensible to me.
