Are we fast approaching, or well past the point? NEETs, incels, hikikomori, GenZ having less sex, abundance of porn, onlyfans, lockdowns, WFH, etc.
So far the only two things that have mindfucked my libido are fucking on too much molly and an erotic lucid dream. I'm down to go back.
The problem is that you're trying to use 21st century logic against 300,000 BC logic, and that old logic has fucked its way through history without fail
"Objectively, I could just masturbate to all this Internet porn!" It won't be enough
"Objectively, I could just use this new VR to have sex with anyone I imagine!" You know it's not real, it won't be enough
Anyone who answers 'yes' isn't thinking very hard on this question
Honestly I never really enjoyed casual sex. I just think its not for me. If you offered me ten fucks and one cuddle or ten cuddles and one fuck I'd take the latter.
Bunhead put it plainly enough so I'll just add, there's way more between sex and masturbation than how good the orgasm is. It's like asking "if you had a pill that stimulated your taste buds to experience the most delicious flavors possible, would you still go to nice restaurants with friends/dates?"
As someone that has a sleep disorder that involves both tonnes of lucid dreaming and sleep paralysis, no it would not replace actual relationships. Reason being if you're lucid dreaming you actively know that you're in a dream and it's not real.
Yes because I'm demisexual and need to have a genuine friendship with someone to be sexually attracted.
I've seen people fuck around with binaural beats in headphones and lights over closed eyes and stuff to induce lucid dreams. but like; idk, the couple bits of lucid dreaming I had weren't exactly stable or super enjoyable. I prefer not dreaming just because I basically only have one setting for dreams and it's anxiety dreams.
and like... sex is cool but it isn't even close to the best thing about having a good relationship.
