As you say, this is the work of six criminals, who have been caught and will now be punished. To imply that the Chinese state is responsible for these crimes is like saying the Nixon administration is responsible for the Manson murders.

Yeah what sort of brain damage has OP's brother suffered that causes him to not be able to read the words "jailed for organ harvesting"? The state functioned exactly as it should in this situation. People did a crime, went through a trial, and are now in prison. The CCP runs the state that tried and imprisoned them.

saying Nixon is responsible for the Manson murders.

I mean if we ever find out whether or not Manson was a CIA plant or not

They were criminals scamming relatives of the recently deceased into signing waivers authorizing organ "donations". They were found out and arrested.

The propaganda line pushed by the US and Falun Gong is that Chinese government directly sponsors this kind of thing along with harvesting them from live political prisoners. Theres no actual proof of any of this outside hearsay and wild speculation.

If this shit does happen, it's criminal and happens off the books by bad actors, usually scammers or black marketeers. This isn't something unique to China.

    Let's see...

The paper's front page is absolutely littered with pro-Trump posts including one called "A Tribute to Donald Trump", as well as having a huge anti-China bent in everything. Their stated goal is to "Lead the conversation" in regards to China. They're part of something called The Trust Project, which is a neolib think-tank that includes other rags like The Economist, The Toronto Star, and the WaPo. The story uncritically links Falun Gong stories in it, even though Falun Gong has whole-cloth fabricated the organ harvesting stories. The author's entire body of work is overwhelmingly anti-China.

I don't doubt that this happened, but it was very likely to just be a few black market types rather than some nefarious CCP plot to harvest organs from random people.

Apparently they claim that their "practicioners" are targeted for organ harvesting at higher rates than anyone else, because all the meditation makes them supernaturally healthy. No, I'm not kidding.

SCMP istypically skeptical of the mainland in tone, but doesn’t do outright propaganda like NYT might.

It’s basically the China equivalent of the NYT. Critical of its state, but not to the extent of foreign media.

I dunno but don't waste too much time, throwing links at each other is not productive, maybe just spam police brutality at him?
