Every time the Kerry posters are mentioned here it reminds me of the highly unpleasant experience of meeting him in person
In Stockholm, June last year. Was crossing a bridge and bumped into him. Didn't recognize him until a woman behind me asked for his autograph. The person I was walking with (evidently a liberal) said something along the lines of "holy shit, that's John Kerry!". They insisted on turning back to get a photo of him. Ended up having an exchange of words with him, which I don't remember the words of, but I do remember that it made me feel like launching myself off the planet.
