I think it's fucking horrible for any animal to be boiled alive, of course. But I'm looking at hog's comment which was specifically pointing out the hypocrisy of the redditor's statement, not making the morality judgements that you think it is.
What point are you even trying to defend? Do you honestly believe that there's nothing wrong with putting a chicken dinner in the oven, giving your 5 year old a remote of sorts, and going shopping at the mall because you feel like it is a reasonable and logical thing to do?

Honestly, my take on this post is that this is a teenager who cares very deeply about animals, came across some very disturbing videos of animals being tortured and reacted in a vile and racist manner, most likely because that's the environment they were raised in.
