    who really cares if they steal industrial and military blueprints? that doesn't effect 95% of people.

        Cursed country. Stock pensions and 401ks keep US workers lucky enough to have savings tangentially invested in the fossil-fuel economy and the war machine, if they don't actively choose to tell their portfolio managers to divest from those industries. For this very perverse reason I'm glad most young US workers are never going to see a dime of that blood money their whole lives because it keeps them more untethered from those material interests.

          Related hypothesis: the 40+ people who almost voted Bernie but went for Biden at the very last minute thought about Bernie potentially damaging their pensions while they were in the voting booths.
