working retail will ruin any of the big christmas songs for you. Love being able to tell how long I've been working by how many times I've heard All I Want for Christmas is You

Working has ruined so much music. One of the first questions I ask is if I’m going to have to listen to other peoples music while at work.

The chain store I worked at had the same music playing at the same time at all stores in the country. So I'd call up a nearby store to see if they had a product in stock, and I could hear the same music driving me insane at my store, in the background at their store. It was also the hold music. There was no escape, most popular music from that period, and all holiday music, has been forever ruined.

It was the same at the store I used to work at, but even worse, because the music was just slightly not in sync. So it was this irritating echo that made me want to jump right out of my skin.
