Because that's how much money democrats spent for the 2020 elections. And they somehow lost 12 fucking seats in the house, without flipping the senate. Yes that's old news, but I want you to realize how incompetent the democrats are; and how fucked the country might be.

Republicans are likely to get the hold again on the senate for the first two years of a Biden presidency. Democrats seem also fairly allergic to good decisions, as they refuse to give more stimulus money to Americans; and will proceed to get absolutely wrecked in the 2022 elections, probably losing the House too. The supreme court is also going to be conservative for the next decades since they won't pack the courts either. :agony-deep:

In fact, even though the title was more of a rhetorical question, and that most of the 6.5 billions probably went straight into the pockets of friends and "contractors", you could literally hire yourself an army of volunteers, or fund an actual paramilitary group for an insurgency. I just can't fucking understand how they keep failing (not on purpose) against a party viewed as despised and corrupt by a majority of Americans with that amount of money.

I would secretly buy up all the property around Matt Yglesias's house, like every plot for a half mile in each direction. Then in the middle of the night I would demolish all the buildings and install a million beehives, so that when he wakes up his house is in the middle of a giant field of rubble, surrounded by 1 billion bees.
