You can't convince me a mere corn snack is worth this much money, sorry Americans

in China the food is very cheap, especially produce and awesome fruit
One of the things that amazed me when I visited china (other than the trains, culture, and lack of homelessness) was seeing young women walking around and taking subways at night alone carefree. You couldn't even do that in suburban american let alone a major city
Helps that there's a ton of land around the same latitudes as Florida and a fair bit into the tropics. But yeah it's pretty lit
And they grow produce everywhere. I was a chairlift at one of the Great Wall sites (which has an overall theme park aesthetic) and there were food gardens going all the way up the slope! Imagine people’s gardens in American Disneyland.
All food should just be free
same with houses, transportation, equipment needed for hobbies, etc
I was watching a show last night and they said it's so difficult to end hunger but that's capitalism for you
Imports like this disgust me so much, it's literally just puffs, why the hell do we need to ship these in from the US just so the correct brand name is on them.
You could get 3 bags of local cheese snacks for that money, or 2 bags and a dip
I don't even give a shit about scamming some Murica-stanning Euro dumbasses, I care that we are shipping air across half the globe for something so unbelievably disgusting.
giant cargo containers full of air and some cheese dust being shuttled over transcontinental shipping lanes because capitalism is so hyper efficient nothing, especially not a proprietary blend of air and cheesedust, can be produced locally, as that would infringe upon the corporate intellectual property rights
But it's got the tiger on it! And I heard a guy once say Cheeto in an MCU movie or something
Edit: Wait, it's a CHEETah, not a tiger, duh. I will try to show more respect to American culture in the future
maybe im stupid but what is a KPL? Is that Euro in Finland? Thats the only answer i could find. The flaming hots are like $2 here but they make your poop look so weird if you eat a whole bag, ask me how i know.
Short for "kappale", meaning "per item" in the context of price tags
That's around 8 and a half dollars for your bag of Cheetos, please
I thought it might be Swedish Krona or something but really 7 € for a bag of snacks, wow. pretty bold assumption by the supermarket that people will overpay that much as well.
Sorry to disappoint you but I saw several people buying multiple bags of these things, blew my mind. Anything for a novelty, I guess
The only Cheeto that should be imported is Trump. Have at him! :thicc-trump:
I love the hilarious metric weights on American products that shops are required to list by law "226.8 g"
My dad describes how when cheetos were first introduced to his village and they were giving out samples etc, some dude tried them, and I guess he expected them to be sweet or at least kind of like peanuts or whatever, because he was caught completely off guard, and he spit them out. When someone else asked him what they were like, he just said "taste of death" lmao
I'm picturing American troops rolling into a village somewhere in Humvees and then gathering all adult males in the village square and forcing them to eat Cheetos
They're no peanut flips, which is a shame, because peanut flips slap.
Once got a bag of Taiwanese teriyaki flavoured ones from an Asian super market, and they were a pretty nice snack all considered. They were also reasonably priced (which is why I got them)
Some ramen companies make little bags of tiny bits of uncooked ramen coated with flavour dusting, which you can get at many Asian supermarkets. Samyang also produced some based on their super popular Buldak range of hot chicken ramen, but I haven't seen any around in a while
You can't go wrong with anything sourcream or cheese flavoured
I like me some salt and vinegar, but the sour saltiness can get a bit overpowering sometimes
I tried doritos for the first time recently. Americans actually eat that shit?
American Cheese is so varied. If you buy the presliced Kraft 100 pack or whatever it's going to be shit, but if you go to the deli section and have them cut some for you, it's actually pretty good. It's amazing for melting too.
Eating American cheese was one of the worst experiences of my life. Won't eat again/10
