And they said we should just accept it on their credibility.

I had the occasion to look this up again, so I thought I should post it for more than the shitlib I got it for (so now it's also for the three of you sorting by new at this hour)

When it first hit the news I was talking to a friend who works at US embassies and I cracked a joke about it. He got really offended and insisted he had really good evidence he couldn't share for security reasons that it was real.

A few months later he apologized.

Not that hard. He did admit he was wrong after all.

I just found it delightful to have a concrete example of internet shitposts having a better understanding of geopolitics than state department briefings.

So now we know for sure that anyone who says this is telling a "My uncle works at Nintendo" tier lie. If you cant show us, theres no use bringing it up.

As long as was needed to get Congress to pass a Bill giving them compensation

As the Senate Intelligence Committee continues to look into the mysterious and debilitating attacks on U.S. personnel abroad, I’m proud to know that these officials will now be able to count on the compensation and care they deserve, thanks to President Biden’s signing of our Helping American Victims Afflicted by Neurological Attacks (HAVANA) Act.

HAVANA Care for all the American public servants who have incurred brain injuries likely from directed energy attacks

So this is just long COVID right?

Most likely this is a cover story they are using because cyber-lenin is killing brainworms with directed meme weapons.

the real question is what sort of directed energy fuckery are the US testing that has caused this amount of anxiety amongst their own people
