Chapos, you dance?
Kinds of music you get loose to? Advice for others? Questions? Do any of you filthy animals skank?
Personally I wanna know how/if people are meant to dance to country music (modern or old style), shit is weird.
I dance badly to anything that's on if my ADHD is going brrr. Catch me working it out to Iron and Wine
I love to dance. One of the things I miss most during this pandemic is going out to whatever shows there were and cutting a rug to whoever was playing that night.
I'm a pretty good dancer, (though I'm still usually awful with a partner) but only because I made an absolute fool of myself over and over again and kept doing it until I got good. For advice, I'd say just delight in the motion of your body, dance by yourself to some good jams frequently, and learn a few footwork patterns you can repeat and use as a baseline to go into some serious moves.
I dance badly when I go to indie pop shows, along with the others metalheads/punks/indie fans in the crowd. Shit is super fan, especially because you can tell that 70% of the people (including me) have no idea how to dance
anyone else just copy the most competent looking person in the crowd? is that plagiarism?
I mean you could certainly do it, but I just try to not think to much and just vibe to the music :cat-vibing:
I did some hipster ass swing dancing/hustle for a few years and I got passable with that. Still feel insanely awkward dancing solo.
I really don't dance well but I like to think I can. I've just never had much motivation to learn how to do moves, or to have loose hips or whatever you're supposed to have.
Free your mind and your ass will follow.
Dancing in my bedroom to 24K Magic and a couple of SHINee albums is a hobby I revisit now and again.
I want to learn shuffling so bad. I see people at festivals cutting shapes and am filled with envy. If I could dance, I would love to dance like that
i dance to electro-funk while making breakfast but i dont know any dance moves other than the floss and an absolute butchering of the orange justice
the primary country music dancing is probably just line dancing to bangers such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d05tQrhNMkA
i was worried it was a square-line affair
i dont know enough people for a line dance dammit
It's not always a square affair. There's a lot of 2-4 person dances. Line dancing is an aberration.
