      A lot of folks here used to be radical liberals. There's a difference between someone who'll call Israel an apartheid state and some neolib pisspig toeing the Democratic Party line.

        Agreed, I think it's fair to hold elected officials to a higher standard though. If you're that into politics and you're still a liberal, something's wrong. I was a rad lib when I only read the news once a week and it took a few months of paying attention to go "hey, we should probably kill the bourgeoisie".

          But you're never going to get to the point where you can be an "elected" official if you say that. Not even our big red boy Lee Carter will go that far during a campaign.

          I'm pretty OK with politicians pandering to libs, because you have to pander to libs to win, and pandering doesn't actually do anything.

            Yeah, but saying "execute the bourgeoisie, workers of the world unite!" When you think it is one thing, supporting M4A which is one of the most popular policies in the history of this country is another. Compromising on the compromise is a bad sign.
