I get to ride public transit every day to get to work, which is fun. But it's ok, I don't mind dying.
Might be a relief, actually.
Only the bourgeoisie and cops who don’t even fucking ride the subway care about people skipping fare. It’s common courtesy to hold the gate open if somebody asks and you don’t question why. Even if you always pay your fare, you know that in the event you forget your wallet or phone somebody will let you in.
You never know why somebody needs to get in and you don’t need to. There was a time when I couldn’t afford to pay at all and it was either that or paying for a place to live, and the kindness of strangers helped me get back on my feet. It’s our city, it should be fucking free to get anywhere you need to.
o7 to the heroes opening the exit door
That first guy who went back and paid after he was caught should have jumped again lol
Has my sense of scale been totally destroyed or is $215 mil not even that much? Like the NYPD's budget is $6 billion, this just seems like literal pocket change
Why don't you find out for yourself
Note that this isn't everything because they get stuff from other programs and also are bad at keeping track of this stuff
Isn't there a thing where NYPD doesn't report its entire budget so no one even knows how big the real size is?
"don't touch me, don't touch me, this is on camera" holy fuck does this make my blood boil. The fact that it's socially acceptable to stick a camera in someone's face and film them and broadcast/stream/upload it for millions to see but it's not acceptable to tell them to fuck off or make them stop is just ahhhhhhHHHHHH
Surveillance camera guy on youtube is an excellent example of how we're constantly under surveillance but when you actually physically put the camera in someones face they dislike it
Rich white women are the worst most entitled emotionally abusive people to ever exist.
Do Americans really call times square the cross roads of the world? Fucking hell.
