£100 for a cheapo drone with a camera that you can fly remotely, tie a few cigarettes to the bottom. Land them on top of it.
Job done.
This goat is a symbol of bourgeois supremacy. It is sponsored by the southern merchants guild and protected by Securitas who currently owns the Pinkertons. If Swedish comrades can't mobilize to burn this goat then we will know that social democracy is the most effective form of anticommunism.
Broke: Gävle Goat paid for by the Southern Merchants
Woke(?): Yule Goat built by the Natural Science Club of the School of Vasa1985: The 12.5-metre (41 ft) tall goat of the Natural Science Club was featured in the Guinness Book of Records for the first time.
Enclosed by a 2 metres (6.6 ft) high metal fence, guarded by Securitas and soldiers from the Gävle I 14 Infantry Regiment.
Destroyed in January by Fire
Sorry buckaroo but they hired the owners of the Pinkerton's. Not that we can't enjoy the shenanigans of the following year.
1986: The creator of the original 1966 goat, Stig Gavlén, thought that the Natural Science Club's goat had unfairly won the title of the largest Yule Goat because the goat was not as attractive as the Southern Merchants' goat and the neck was excessively long. The next year there was a Goat war: the Southern Merchants understood the publicity value, and erected a huge goat, the Natural Science Club erected a smaller one in protest. The Southern Merchants had intended that their huge goat would reclaim the world record, but the measurement of the goat showed it fell short.
Destroyed on December 23 by fire
Wrecked.
It's unclear from the wiki if the Natural Science Club was involved in hiring security or if that was just the Southern Merchants. Seems unlikely cause they're just kids in secondary school?
Southern merchants didn't re-enter the competition until the next year. But it was probably the city who hired them.
they erected the goat each year from 1966 to 1970 and from 1986 to 2002
Ah, good point. This wiki article is oddly structured...

You can watch it not burn here , but be warned that it's a tourism promotion site for the city of Gävle.
Good point, "training" dogs (or horses) for cop duty is unambiguously animal abuse and inexcusable.
This is just raising the stakes, burning the goat down will now be more prestigious.
After industrial civilization collapses, we will have this surviving tradition of unknown source where for a period of 1.5 moons around the solstice (3 weeks before to 3 weeks after, maybe Advent and Christmas if they still exist), there is a group competition that people engage in all over the world, of unknown source, but anthropologists suspect it came from the corner of the Great Continent with many peninsulas around a shallow sea.
The competition is between those who aim to build and defend a giant straw effigy of a goat, and people who aim to destroy one such goat.
The bigger and more fireproofed the goat, the more of an honor to burn it down. The more attempts on a goat, the more of an honor to build one that stands.
A perpetual battle between forming and de-forming. Extensive planning and physical efforts done and shared collectively. Straw, wood, nails, axes, and fire. No matter whether it stands or falls, a monument of our existence, and a celebration of life.
Right. Dragging them away or raising the alarm is Defending The Goat, invoking the legal system is dubious but still technically a defense.
The objective is the goat, not the other team. You become the G.O.A.T. by getting their goat.
Just aim for the lanterns, enough sparks and that'll be it.
