    I still think this is just a plan to kill the bill and require stopgap spending through the beginning of the Biden presidency. Trump calling for the 2k won't change McConnell's stance at all and if they can occupy the first few months of the Biden presidency threatening to close the federal government then Biden and the Democrats are going to have to bend over for the Senate Republicans even more.
